ANSWERED: My truck seems to be stuck in four wheel driveWebCustomer. No the light on the instrument panel does not come on in 4 hi. This is a 2004 Chevy 2500 4x4. GM Tech (Cam), Expert. IT sounds like the switch itself or the wiring to the transfer case module is the issue. There is a vacuum switch on the transfer case that changes it. One is for 2WD the other 4WD. You may want to change the metal tubes. By the pics it's pretty rusty under there. If the motor rotates and is working, then the issue lies within the transfer case.
